What is she?

A Golden Beagle..my in-laws have one

Here is our rescued dog Ruby.
She has the coarse hair down her back.
Vet says she is Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepard mix.
She is extremely protective of our family, very high energy type dog, and a real sweet heart,

Well, it's not a Poodle, nor a Chihuahua, that's for sure.. Looks plenty like a lab and a few others for sure. The best part is that your dog is a mutt and they are the best dogs ever... If it's part lab it will have a great temperament, but you will also have to watch them, they love digging

Yep. she loves to dig, which is why I sometimes get a little too stern a voice with her. Also, just checked, she has webbed paws. So now it looks like I might be back to half beagle & half Lab? Smart dog though, she already knows how to put her toys back on her shelf. Been very easy to housebreak and also easy to teach, unless the neighborhood kids are around, then it's ears closed and all out play time.

When someone ask me what kind of dog she is I think I'll just reply, "An American Mightbe." And leave it at that.
