What is the deepest you've dug?

What is the deepest you have dug while hunting or detecting. Me? Only around 4 feet.

went 2 1/2 feet hit a target every 6 inches until i hit the bottom and found a brass or bronze artdeco picture frame around a 5x7 size

Deepest target was a 6lb cannonball at about 3 feet. (found last Fall)

Up to my armpits, for a foxhole!

I found a broken E-tool and a few small pickets on the way down! (We were only allowed to dig where there was previously a foxhole...)

Mine would be a cannonball 2-3 feet. My deepest coin was 14inches but it may have fell back in the hole ,not sure .

I dug this 1906 S.F. vehicle license plate at about 12 inches. I'm pretty sure it was that deep. Digging tool is about 12 inches long and the hole went all that way up to the end of the handle when I saw the plate in the bottom of the hole. It is made out of brass or copper, it gave a perfect coin signal.

About 22 feet on a desolute island; found a layer of calcite, not gold--but what an adventure!

When I was around 12 I used to find old wells and crawl in them and dig out the bottles. Never ever dug one all the way out.
