What is this decorative brass object?

Maybe a ladies hat brotch on belt buckle. I fell like another member or guest will nail it for you.

It is half of a ladies sash buckle. Turn of the 20th Century give or take a decade.

I was thinking it might be the top portion of a Victorian ladies hair comb. :thumbsup:

I just took another look at the back attachment and the brass loop is still there... sash buckle.
