I got a bunch of free landscape rocks from someone on Craigslist and this was with them.

I am wondering what this is.
I am in Toledo Ohio near lake Erie in case it is something local to help with identification

There is an old gas station in Kentucky that's made from Kentucky geodes. Looks just like the one you found. Google geodes and see what you find. I would like to see what it looks like inside if you could get it cut. Some are gorgeous inside.

Thank you very much.

Course granite or sandstone is a possibility.

I was thinking geode from the beginning. it does show some small crystals on the outside, kinda looks sparkly.
I am certainly not an expert. The one thing giving me doubt is that it seems to feel really heavy for a geode.

I am thinking geode but would hate to have it cut open to find it was something totally different and ruin the looks or value.

I was going to say geoid, but I looked at the image closet and it now looks like granite, if I'm not mistaken gold can be found with granite.
