What is this? well or Privey.

Any one know what this is? It is about 3.5-4 foot diameter and has stacked stones around the sides. Is it a well or a privey? It has loose leaves and dirt in it and I can probably dig down some. Do you think I would find anything? Is it worth my time?

Probably a privey from the looks of it, and yes it would be worth digging if it has not been already. Alot of good things come from holes like that one. A word of advice though don't dig it alone. Safety is the main reason but if you are not set up for digging a privey it will be alot of work. Or let me put it this way, you can't dig a privey by yourself.
