What Is Your #1 Detector That Has Gave You The Most Joy To Use.......

I've owned many over the years, an old D-Tex BFO, White's Coinmaster back when they were a blue box, Tesoro LST, and now have settled down to a (now old and venerable) White's MXT, Minelab Quattro and a little Fisher F2 that I use as a loaner and backup. Don't laugh at the F2. It's a little workhorse, or maybe I should say work burro, especially with that little 4" coil. It has surprised me many times. The MXT has paid for itself and every other detector a couple times over. It can sniff out gold in the parks like nothing else I've ever used. The Minelab is great but the noise drives me nuts, so I rarely use it. That's a shame, I know, because it's a great machine. I've used the MXT enough to speak it's language, and it has become like an extension of my arm. I pretty much know what every beep and grunt is telling me. I would never get rid of it until it literally deteriorates into the dust.

The detector that I like for land hunting is my DFX have found plenty of coins and ring with it best find I can say is my Trade Dollar that I found 2 yrs ago. But for the water I will go with my Excalibur when it is to hot out and the ground is hard like cement I am in the water scooping up the gold......

I'll never give up my gtax 1250...have more current machines but me and that heavy old timer still seem to out hunt my buddies...built like a tank, eats batteries, but still misses nothing and the best target id.Prolly cause I have well over a thousand hours learning its language. That would be the point....the one you can talk to is the one to swing.

MY FAVORITS DETECTORS

I started off back a few years ago with a BH which I loved at the time but then moved on up to a Garrett which I loved also, Now I own a minelab se pro that I really love & have found lot's of silver with which is what I love to do is silver hunt. Anyway, just thought I would hear from some of you ladies & gentleman on what your favorite detector is. I know you have a favorite for different things you do but if you had to give them all up which one would you keep :laughing7: I'm snowed in here I got to get something started to cheer me up
