What is your favorite U.S minted coin?

I'm with Number9: $20 St. Gaudens.

But my favorite "obtainable" US coin is the Adolph Weinman "Freedom of Thought" Winged Liberty dime.

Just an elegant and lovely coin. Has absolutely nothing to do with the god's messenger "Mercury".

My all time favorite!
Just kidding ....The walking Liberty half!

Thank god you were kidding I think that penny has to be one if not the ugliest coin this country ever minted

I would have to say the Morgan silver dollar. A one of a kind coin.

I always liked seeing the little silver mercs pop up

Just like the Indian Head Penny is not really an Indian. Once again it is the Lady Liberty with a head dress. Look closely at the picture posted by TreasurDiggrNY and you will see.

After reading alot of these posts...I can pretty much Say I loved all the coins before they started putting Presidents on them, IMO...Thats when coins became ugly.....I think the only coin that I enjoy seeing that has a forefather on it, is the Franklin Half...Mainly because i like the Bell on the back

I was going to post the same thought. You said it well. I don't even like some of those presidents!

Mine is a tie between "mercury" dime and standing lib. Quarter

That is so true, they did get ugly when they put the presidents on them

I never saw a coin I didn't like!

If I had to pick one however it would be the Morgan Silver Dollars. Beautiful art work and I just love the way they clank together in my Crown Royal bags! :icon_thumleft:

Never thought about that but your right they all went down hill after that.

I love the peace and morgans, I don't know if I can chose.
