What is YOUR Holy Grail?

My sisters class ring, Lost in the yard (three fourths of a acre) in 1975. Started me into metal detecting and have never found it yet. Believe me, there are very few signals left in that yard! Ever now and then an old who knows what iron thing. Her class ring, that would be my grail moment.

This is amazing. I hope you find it one day! If you were near by I'd even volunteer to help.

Any 18th century coin would send me to orbit.

I'm still looking for a large cent and any gold coin. I've been with people who have found large cents, but I have a jinx or something. And I have a theory this area was not one for gold having much circulation.

Same answer every year since I started back in the hobby in 2007, a silver quarter. I just am jinxed when it comes to them.

Peachy, have a detecting party and invite us all. It could be like Woodstock 2015, with metal detectors.

I had a 1652 Pine Tree Shilling as my holy grail. Then I found one in November. So I said what the hell and I put a NE Shilling up top. But I've got a few that I'd really like to find. A chain cent, continental currency, a half or full disme, a 1500s coin. Then there's a GW button, rattlesnake button, and a rev war button. Might as well dream big lol. But certainly above all a NE Shilling

No brainer for me. A draped bust silver dollar with good details.

I like that you didn't waffle like me and list a bunch of stuff. After I found the tree coin it screwed everything up lol. Even though I know I will never find a NE Shilling I still have it on the top. That would be my ultimate. I would pass out for sure...with the biggest smile you've ever seen

At this point bear dig able ground would be the holy grail right now!
Just being able to dig!

Tree coin would be WAY up there for me. NE shilling sounds hard but knowing your luck you will find two in 2015. On the draped bust dollar, I actually do not even think good details matter much, good details on the coin would just be icing on the cake.

1793 US Large Cent, I love old copper!

While I'm still looking for my first gold/silver ring and gold/silver coins... The silver ring that was my dads that I lost when I was about 10...

So I know where you're coming from Peachy. Good luck in your quest.

THE TRUTH BEHIND THE HUMAN IMAGENATION AND WHY WE USE IT TO MANIPULATE AND CREATE? DON'T BE AFRAID OF DESTINITY FOR IT WILL FIND YOU.
LIFE IS SHORT. ENJOY. :notworthy:

I'd love a modest cache of silver Victorian coins (English or Canadian ) A U.S. gold coin would be pretty dreamy too .

Depends on the category, I reckon. Coin: Dahlonega quarter eagle. Bottle: Either of the two Tippecanoe
cabin varients. Arrowhead: A nice Bulltongue Simpson. Insulator: Blackglass slashtop.

While I'm basking on Fantasy Island, they'd need to all be in mint condition, of course.

Keeping on dreaming...

My Holy Grail?

Peace and Happiness
