what kind of hardstone?

this is the second one like this i have found, both are identical, second one is not pictured. both are flat on the sides, and there is a median ridge that goes all the way around like that of a axe tip. there is a flat spot on each where the piece can stand on its own..... what are they? grinding stones? bolos?

They were using those for something. Its a tradgedy that we have no history of their struggles. Nice post.
