What kind of rock is this.

I did find it close to a meteorite flash in my yard. But rocks are everywhere, it was the odd ball compared to the landscape....

limonite or some sort of iron concretion, see what The Piratess recommended. Cave creek, hmmm are there sandstone bluffs over limestone near you?

There's a fusion crust the whole thing was the burnt look u see and I sanded a flat spot so u can see inside fyi
