✅ SOLVED What kind of Skeleton key is this ?

The bit or blade is missing.
I always thought they were cast keys with the bit all cast at the same time.
Was this made for something else ?
Cast bronze 2-5/8" long.

I seen a key with the split on the internet that looks like it.
It was a French clock key.
I think TommyB is correct.
I will mark this as solved.
