Going through some of my older coins that I haven’t looked at in probably 10 years and came across this coin that I never knew what it was. It’s not in very good shape at all and as far as I can tell it’s a Philip V Spanish real from the early 1700’s. Can anyone maybe help with a little more info? It’s about the size of a quarter and these are the best pictures I can provide since the website will only let me log on with my phone. Found another one. This one is about the size of a us nickel but much thinner. Believe the date is 1722 or 1729.FE06B727-74C5-4F16-99C7-E8BCE2991985.webp8426B92B-30E5-465C-8F9B-72224A233989.webp

I do believe that is a pistareen, worth 2 reales. They were very heavily used here in the colonies.

Ewell's Retreat - photo tip: take the picture on a solid background. Camera's with auto-focus will try and focus on the lettering in your background instead of the coin's details.

just Google Spanish Real. plenty of sites with photos & full specs
