I found this while metal detecting the other day. It is about 4 inches long and I believe is made of brass since it shows no real signs of rust. It was in an area where I have found coins and tokens dated to the mid to early 1800's, along with saddle parts, buckles, square nails, etc. I was wondering what it is and what it was used for.
