Politics are who you vote for every couple to few years. You are everything else in between. If two people can’t enjoy their love of chess or archery or gardening together because they’re going to vote for someone different 3.5 years later, that is just sad. Like racism it is all a manufactured illusion by those robbing everyone blind. As long as we’re looking at each other we’re not looking at them.
If the white neighbor and black neighbor and brown neighbor stop looking at each other they might just look at that $25 ornament they bought for Christmas and realize $24.50 of the cost is taxes. Then they’ll wonder where all that money went. And they might conclude the reason they can’t afford eggs isn’t the fault of the guy mowing their neighbor’s lawn, but the guy with a trillion dollars in the bank.
