Most of the time he's using the factory 17" coil. I remember seeing him with a HUGE coil on one or more of his detectors, but, I don't remember if it was the CTX or one of the other machines.

thanks for the reply cudamark , i believe gary was using the minelab 6000 and the coil was at least 24-32 inches across.

IIRC, it was either a GPX5000 or the GPZ7000. I don't think the GPX6000 was out when that was filmed. It certainly wouldn't have had that big a coil. I think there are only 3 coils made for the 6000 at this point and only the 10" and 14" are available right now. The 17" is in production and should be available at any time.
