Don't get me wrong I love finding silver more than anything but I always love finding old knives or anything gun related. To some its junk but ill never throw them away haha
CW relics are what I target, but I love it all. Anything old turns me on. Every hole is exciting, what is it, what was it used for and why is it there? Who touched it last? I love to reflect on all the why's. HH RN

Gold, Old American coins. I have found a few old foreign coins but for me they just don't get me too excited. Even found a 20cent silver French indo china coin(avatar pic) worth a good $90.. Would have been much happier with a common date BArber Still love the find of course..
It's all about the coins for us. We do find the odd stuff now and then, including 3-ringers, marbles, rings and such. Even when we find an "old" foreign coin in a ghost town we are like awwwww!!!!
The whole reason I got into this endeavor was because my grandpa was the best storyteller I ever knew. He was an extremely unique person, he did some awesome stuff and apparently left behind a story instead of a will. After he died, he left things behind that family members were bound to find. I got the firearms that were left in my "hidden" play area that only I could fit into when I was a little dude. He would have had to totally remove and slide out a furnace and then replace it all to have him put them there. My mom remembered where she played when she was little and found lots of stuff left for her. Long story short, there was nothing insignificant about the man. All the stories we were told had some truth to them, most of which led to more stories. He was just awesome and I love hunting around that old place. I just love digging memories and deciphering it all. Long live grandpa's memory.
I like finding anything old! Besides old coins some of my favorite oldies, are toy lead soldiers, watch fobs, buttons, old shell casings, old jewelry, and marbles.
Rings for me, Mate! I live in an area that had very little action in the 1800's, and I've never even found a single silver coin. But rings?? oooooh, I love rings...
Since I started detecting in January, I've found 43 of them! Yesterday's ring was a cool stainless steel spinner with the chain (wally-world $30). Fits my finger perfectly! I have found 5 gold rings this year, two silver, a bunch of titanium and tungsten... Nothing special on my hunts, just local parks in the city where it's legal to MD. I've managed to have one return (I actually don't count that in the 43, come to think of it!), so it's really 44-1.
I've only found one ring unless you count horse tackle rings [emoji12]. I don't have the best places to hunt around here but I still find some silver from time to time. my parents have some land so I spend a lot of time digging random signals. find a lot of neat old stuff tho.
