Wheaties Blobs Drummers and Cars

Well this is more of a culmination of three hunts rather than just one days finds. Individually the daily hunts were very short and the finds reflective of that time. However, When added all together they are quite nice. Day one was a forty five minute hunt.. and netted me some 8 or 9 coins, one being a 1936 Wheaty alongside this little plastic soldier, a Drummer boy. <shrug> I was hunting on the grounds of an elementary school Day two was a little longer, I got an hour and 15 minutes swing time divided between two elementary school playgrounds... "tot lots" included.. a few more coins, mostly pennies, some hair barrettes and one toy car. Day three was another short hunt.. almost an hour, but I found quite a bit of clad, two more toy cars, a part of a toy cap pistol, Two blobs.. one is tin/lead I think, the other is either cast Aluminum or one really beat up chunk of aluminum.. I found this rather dilapidated wrestling medallion at the same local.. (toys and all on the grounds of a High School!?!? Oh, and one Tiny little Mini Mag flash light.. bulb is in tact, but I can't get it open yet to see if the insides are still operable. some buttons, lots and lots of metal style twist off pop caps, and a few buried tin soda cans, a few pull tabs to round it all out. All in all it wasn't too bad for just under 3 hours hunting time.. I got all the toys, hair accouterments, medal, flashlight, blobs and 89 coins totalling $7.40. I'll take it. <smile> At least till I can get back to my clad magnets.. some of my favorite ball fields were in use this morning so I ended up hunting the schools.. I hate feeling like the pied piper leading a bunch of kiddies around watching me hunt. <laughing> Plus.. with the parks being in use today.. they are being replenished as sure as the sun was shining today. And as Martha Stew. might say.. "That's a Good Thing!"

Well tomorrow is another work day for me.. Probably won't get to detect any till the middle of next week. After a doctor's appointment perhaps. Or a service call (laundry machines) to my mother in law's new place.. *sigh* At least the middle of the week means I can get to my clad magnets.. <smile> Battery money at least!
