WheatWaffles Log

Good to see u posting again. Congrats on the nice full date buffalo and the 1910 wheat penny the other day. I didn't have much luck with nickels this month myself. I searched $300 and only found one no-date buffalo and 0 war nickels. But I had really good success with halves this month which more than made up for my lousy nickel results so Im not complaining. Maybe next month it will be just the reverse and I'll have good luck with nickels and bad luck with halves. Just never know with this hobby lol.

HH!

Hay WheatWaffle: I notice that you are saving all stages of the 2009 P&D cents. I do also, what's your reasoning? Mine is that this is the only single year with that "Reverse" style design (4 stages of Lincolns life), therefore eventually a collectors item.

Dozed D, I'm hoping that since I'm only 17, that in 50 years the coins will have a higher price.

Great nickel box! My nickels haven't been producing too well lately, which is kinda unusual for me. I think I've only found one no date buffalo and no war nickels in the last $350 or so I've searched. But I've been focusing more on halves lately since they've been producing pretty well for me. But someday I'd sure love to find a nickel box at least half as good as your last nickel box.

H$H!

Congrats on your first merc, SLQ and the '64 Ken too. You did have a great day. The SLQ looks like its in pretty good shape and has an S mint mark. Too bad u can't determine the date because its probably an earlier pre-1925 date with some numis value - if you could determine the date. Have u examined the last digit of the date very closely to see if u might be able to detect it even faintly? And did u check for the three stars underneath the eagle on reverse to see if it might be a T1 or T2?
