Where are all of the finds????

Being my 1st year detecting, I have noticed a lack of posts lately. Is this just typical for this time of year? No one is finding or is it that no one is looking due to the cold?

I moved down to Florida 4 weeks ago...my absolute FIRST find of any kind at all on the beach was a 14kt gold ring. That same week I found a 925 and a 14kt gold earring. In the 3 weeks since then I've found only about $1 in change...lol It seems like everything has just kind of vanished from the area beaches? There's been alot of High Surf advisories and everything, you think that would help churn everything up wash more things up on the beach. Oh well....even if I'm not finding much at least I'm still getting a nice walk on a beautiful beach looking for seashells and all...

Thank you for the warm welcome mumszie! My wife, stepson and I use to come down on vacation every summer, my Bro. and Dad live in Bradenton, plus I lived in Sarasota for over 20 yrs when I was younger and where we were in New Jersey got so expensive to live so we decided to finally move on down...we love it! Plus we just found out that my Stepsons Uncle is moving to Spring Hill in May! We had a great weekend, went to the Sarasota holiday boat parade lastnight (VERY awesome!) and went to Myakka Park today...saw 2 gators, 2 armadillos and 5 wild turkeys...had ALOT of fun! And my wife talked to one of her friends up North today, it was 28 degrees...haha! THIS is the life!!!

Sandman I have read a lot of your posts and you strike me as a man that only
talks you what you know but I have to take you to task on this one!
You say we should be more tolerant of a person that posts lies and photos
of there finds and smile at them; THAT is just what has gotten our country
and our society as a whole into the state that it is today. And yes you need
to remember to take your med. so you can continue to think straight like I
know you can. Know go take your nap and have a great Christmas and a
