don't be a hater :-*

Just south of Madison. I don enjoy group hunts if anyone has one going. When it warms up!

It is a little tough digging out there right now.
For the winter I have taken up coin roll hunting.

At first I was doing rather well then I started getting rolls of half's that looked like they came out of slot machines with the rims all worn down and no silver to be had. The casinos must be emptying there vaults and my bank wants to charge me to cash them in.
So I have been spending them every where I go; they call me 50 Cent down at the convenient store.

I deal with Doug at Doug's Treasure Den near Wisconsin Rapids. He's always done me good!! CoinShooter-Craig

Hi Craig
Sorry I haven't heard of your band but I will be at the next show when you play close to home.

Thanks Thompy. That's just a small sampling. We like to play stuff that gets the girls out on the dance floor shaking what they got. When they're having fun - we're having fun!! CoinShooter-Craig

Too funny Craig...I have some friends over on Pickeral Lake....Been all over your part of the country detecting...you have some great old homesteads in that area as well as history....Just got back from Wausau after the holidays.......

No it's the Pickeral Lake on the Langlade County / Forest County Border. I think there are several Pickeral Lakes in Wisconsin , as Well as Bass Lakes , Pike Lakes , Long Lakes , Mud Lakes , Round Lakes , Perch Lakes, Ect..... I guess there are just too many lakes in Wisconsin so they had a hard time coming up with original names - Lol. CoinShooter-Craig

Is this the Pickeral lake in Onieda County? If so, I have hunted around there. Small world......or state.

I've been mainly a coinshooter and jewelry hunter up to now. This neck of the woods is known to have copper culture artifacts and I plan to start looking for some this next detecting season. I need to do a little research first so I have a clue as to where good places to hunt for Copper would be instead of wasting alot of time in unproductive areas. I definately plan on giving copper culture a shot this year , and who knows maybe I'll get lucky. I'll post pictures if I happen to find any this spring / summer / fall. CoinShooter-Craig

Find any copper up there?

Just moved here from Michigan, now in the Solon Springs area near Superior. I hope to meet a few fellow T-netters and get some pointers on what to expect in this area and maybe a few hunts together :D

IN A FROZEN HELL

lol...I heard that!
Spring can't get here quick enough!
I envy people who live or winter in the south.
Wintering in the south is the plan, some day
I'll never leave WI in the summers though ;D

I live near Janesville and just got a new Mine lab Safari and they threw in a Bounty Hunter 505 in the deal. I haven't used them yet but I am looking forward to spring and summer!. And boy am I glad my wife doesn't know what I paid for that new Safari! If she did I would be sleeping in the car!!!! :pain10: I guess I will be starting my first hunt on my own 90 acres of land here at home I figure by the time I finish that I should be able to use that Safari effectively. Then I am thinking of hitting some DNR land in the area. I know they dont like that so I just got a new tool so I can hunt there undetected! I recommend one of these toys to everyone in Wisconsin! HAPPY HUNTING EVERYONE!!!!!
