Delafield, WI. Prospector at heart but moving to a high teck machine.

Waukesha, WI. Hi everyone, Bumpstick pointed me to this place. Been detecting with a BH Tracker IV for about a year and just picked up a F5 this week.

Cheers
PJ

Thought i would post again. I'm from delafield. Excalibur 1000 i also scuba dive. i haven't been out lately but getting the itch to do some detecting.

So far I like it but its going to take some time to get use to. In areas that are fairly clean I'm not having much problems with it, in areas with lots of iron it seems to go a little bonkers so I still need to learn how to get a handle on that. It goes a lot deeper than the Tracker 4, I've already given up a couple of times after digging about 8-10 inches without having the proper tools to dig that deep.

Welcome PuddleJumper. I am in Horicon. Not to far from the Waukesha area.

Phil

Thanks Phil, its been a long time but I've been up in your neck of the woods.

And I'm getting a little better with the f5, with all the junk I've pulled I'm using it for learning the discrimination setting. Plus I've found that putting it on the 4 tone setting makes it a lot easier to determine the target. The only thing that kind of stinks is that when you turn it off all the settings go back to the factory presets. I actually pulled a dime from in front of my apartment yesterday that the BH didn't even pick up and it was only 3-4 inches down.

Welcome aboard PuddleJumper shoot me an E-Mail if you have that bug to go out and shoot something with your machine.
I have a new Whites DFX that I have to take for a test drive.
Click on my profile and there is an E-Mail link there.
