Welcome to treasureNet. I suppose it depends on how rare.

if it's a U.S. 1916-D
Ebay would be my first thoughts.

If it is slabbed , and a super rare , U.S. 1792 Half Disme maybe one of the big auction houses

Depends on how "rare" the dime is, like others have said.

There's a big difference between how you sell a dime that might be slightly scarce (1895-O), a more moderately scarce coin (1916-D Merc) and a truly rare coin (1894-S, patterns, etc.)

It also depends on condition and how much you're willing to pay to make it sell for top dollar and also how long you want to wait for your money.
