Where's The Gold? Ring #52 Is Another 925
Hi all,
I went back to the ball fields where I found ring #51 a few days ago..it was a gorgeous morning here in Missouri..the sun was low in the sky and made the heavy morning dew in the fields look almost like ice.
There was actually a baseball game going on at 8 a.m. so I started on the opposite side of the complex where no one was. I wasn't getting any signals at all for awhile, and I kept checking my machine to make sure it was actually on
Anyway, I stayed away from the baseball diamonds and walked over to where the soccer goals were set up and started searching the playing area near some benches. About 10 minutes into the hunt, I got a signal that jumped back and forth between a quarter and a half dollar..I removed a plug and re-checked the hole - nothing there. I glanced over to where the plug was sitting and there was this ring lying there in the grass next to it, #52 for the year. I couldn't believe my luck because I decided to check the opposite side of the field from the last time. I was going to see if maybe I'd be really lucky and find another one, but soon people began showing up in droves and I figured I'd better leave before they started taking over "my" field
I've only found 2 gold rings this year..it looks like most of us midwestern common folk lose more silver than anything else
Before I left I also dug up a solid homemade die that looks like it was made out of a cut piece of a metal bar..primitive looking and not exactly cubical..interesting nonetheless.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

. Alot of people go gaga over the garrett 250 though I just cant bring myself to buy a yellow metal detector (too much visiblity. Do you use the standard coil or the 8 inch coil that is available for them? Is that the same as the 950? Good finds there.
