White Buffalo

Had a winter storm come through Oklahoma and we have a couple of inches of snow on the ground and some ice. I think southern Oklahoma caught the brunt of the storm with lots of ice and many power outages. Its still snowing lightly right now on the Tallgrass Prairie and we're supposed to have snow until midnight tonight.
These pictures were taken by my daughter this morning when she went with my husband to feed the buffalo and put out hay for them. The buffalo are coated with ice but it doesn't seem to bother them---its amazing to me that animals can survive in this kind of weather!

It took me just a minute to get that --maybe cause its so cold and my brain is a little frozen --- probably nothin compared to those buffalo brains, though! .

We started getting sleet last night here in Northeast Arkansas, and this morning the
ground was covered. It changed to snow about mid morning and got about 4 inches
so far. Coming down harder than ever now. Big Flakes.

I think the back side of the storm has been worse for us, Yard Digger. But we didn't get the ice like southern Okla.--Thank God!! We've probably got about 5 inches of snow on the ground right now and its still coming down.
