White gold?

I was panning this morning and discovered white particles at the bottom of my pan that acted like gold, would anyone know what this might be? thanks

I havent tried a magnet, and it appears to be almost as heavy as gold. It is really fine stuff.

HI: it possibly can be a Ag / AU combination or alloy. A natural occurance.

Put some in a strong Nitric acid soloution and see what happens. This will disolve the other metals, especially Ag, leaving a relatively hi grade Gold residue..

Is it mallable?

i have found a lot of old shotgun pellets in my sluice. heavy little buggers.
they turn white, and if they traveled far, they look like a natural occurrence.

not sure, Ive been panning in the desert of Orogrande New Mexico at a gold claim.

Some of the PGM's are as heavy as gold and some of them have a silvery white appearance
