Found a neat ring yesterday and can only suggest that it is white turquoise. It's mounted in a silver ring. Really a pretty ring, any confirmation on this find?

Good job Cory. You find it in the water?

Yep, in the surf.

That ring is a beauty !

I think Howlite is correct - there is also a trade name of "white buffalo" given to that same material - very nice find !

Never seen that before. Some very pale turquoise once or twice, but that ring is definitely unusual. Very nice recovery.

Have you checked on the hardness, does have that moss agate/possible quartz look to it.

Nice ring, never seen that stone in a ring before.

Very stunning ring! That is a first as far as seeing that type of stone! Nice!!

It IS Howlite. It was once probably blue since a lot of howlite is dyed blue and sold as a cheaper alternative to turquoise. The fact that it is a surf find would explain why it has lost it's blue color. Could have just been plain white howlite to start, but plain white howlite doesn't sell very well.

I don't know what it is, however I do know that is a great find! Glad you were able to save it from the deep, CONGRATULATIONS!
