I went out for a couple of hours this morning to field test my new Beach Hunter ID on dry land to get the feel of it. The spot I chose to hunt was a field that I have hit pretty hard in the past, and a few silver rings have come out of it. The first thing I found was that pinpointing was a little different than what I was used to, but it didn't take long to overcome that. I also found that it was sensitive to really small targets, and it goes deep. I was really pleased with it's performance and sensitivity to say the least. I will say that I think it is a really good machine, but not made for hunting sports and soccer fields. That is what my other detector is for. I ended the morning with a little clad, a junque ring, a New York Transit Token good for one fare, and one more sterling silver ring that was pretty mangled up. That's the 49th silver ring for the year. I also found a ton of pull tabs that I'm not showing. In conclusion I can say that I am well pleased with this machine.
