Good morning new member first post. I'm new to "treasure" hunting and picked up two white detectors in an auction. From what I've read they were pretty high end back in the day. Needed a discriminator(?) so picked up one from ebay. Question/problem is plugs on detectors and discriminator are incompatible. Figured I could just get an adapter to make fit but having lots of trouble figuring it out. Any help, comment and even critiques appreciated. Thx

The Alaskan is a TR model from the mid 1970s, you can hunt with it but for $100 you can do way better. The TR X-4 coil should work with the Alaskan but not if the connector you are showing goes to it. I've never know White's to use that connector on a TR model. The clear coil is for a BFO model, no way it will work on a TR.

I was thinking same thing, with two different connectors, they are not compatible.
