Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I just bought a new Whites M6. What a nice machine, built like a tank solid vdi's and best of all I bought it locally from a hobby shop. I could have bought it online for $599.00, but I thought I would give the local guy a try. He had the unit in stock along with a good supply of other Whites detectors. I ask him if the $699.99 price was firm,
he said not always what was you're quote I said $599.99. To make a long story short he gave it to me for $599.99. I know the mom and pop dealers sometimes don't budge on price, but this guy did and he earned my business. This machine if set right can disc. a pull tab and get a men"s med. sized 14k wedding band, I know I tested it with my ring. It can take out a bottle cap and still hit a nickel, and alot of gold rings and jewelry. I love how simple this unit is to operate. I can't wait to run it at some of my favorite sites. I felt good about giving the local guy my business, and he really was appreciative.

Always nice to hear when someone has a good buying experience and is happy with their purchase. Have fun and good luck!

If you want to get the really deep targets you might think about getting a D2 coil, its really deep and separates pretty good for a big coil. HH

Thanks joe and wing, yes I got 100 bucks from whites, they're running the whites bucks promotion so I can put that money into a DD coil.
I really like that open DD that comes on the v3i D2.

I was thinking about getting a At Pro but I am leaning towards the M6. How do you think it compares? The beach mode caught my eye and I need to upgrade from my 1st detector the F2. I use a Sand Shark in the water. So dry wet sand and dirt digging would be the M6's work load.

Have had an m6 for 7 years and beat the tar out of it. Still performs flawless. Great depth, acurate tones, paid for itself several times.

The M6 is a sleeper and a fine detector. It is a better bargain than the AT Pro which is still unstable to EMI fields.

So how do you like it so far? I just purchased a barely used one for $275. I've only tried it in my yard so far, still cleaning up construction debris of all sorts from roofing nails and copper tube to aluminum piping and concrete reinforcement wire. Can't wait to hit a real area worth detecting.

Nice $275 that's great deal nice detector hope to c some finds good luck

Not sure about the better, bargain both are great detectors I mean Atpro might b a little unstable EMI but the m6 isn't water proof 10' so I think both r good detectors just a matter of where u hunt the most that that persons gonna get the best out of it me I. Like my pro for those days its rainy out & u got that itch just to get out there but my main is my v3i awesome detector for me in what I hunt & go
