Who can identify this rock

Hello everyone, I found this stone into the desert, near Oman. I cut it in two. The stone is heavy 6kg, and 30 cm long. What is this rock?

Yes i was actually thinking of a petrified logs. but inside, I cannot see traces of furrows. it looks like waves.

This was my first thought also... except for it being 'Palm wood', I was just thinking petrified 'wood'.
