Just found out I had my v3i set to the 12" super coil and not the d2 I was using. I still found a lot of stuff since I got it two months ago so I guess it does not make that much of a difference, although pinpointing seems a lot easier now.

Yep the depth might have been off a little but probably not by a lot as they are pretty close in size coils, not sure if it would affect the pinpointing on the detector side anyway it will be different as the DD coils pinpoint a lot different than the concentric coils. HH

You are good to go, the only change that setting does is adjust for depth readings, does not affect any other aspects of the coil, hth.
