Who's Been Here Before?

So my buddy and I hunted two small beaches today that we've not hunted in a couple of years and after just a couple of hours on the second beach our pockets were filled with so much clad and junk jewelry I thought my trunks would fall down when I walked out of the water. I actually had to go to the truck to empty my pockets out so I could keep hunting. One of those rare fun days with bunches of targets. Odd thing was this........just 2 small 10K rings out of all those finds, no silver jewelry, not one single piece. What's up with that? I would have never dreamed with so much clad and junk jewelry being found that we would walk away without a single piece of silver or good gold. All of the other jewelry was either stainless, tungsten, copper, metal or aluminum, etc. Just seemed odd.

Which brings up the point - don't you use a finds pouch? What do you do with all the rubbish you dig if you don't also fill your pockets with that? :icon_scratch:

and since when is there such a thing as gold that isn't "good" unless plated?

Well, there's the other odd thing....aside from a few pull tabs and beer bottle tops there wasn't much trash to collect.
No finds pouch, we were in the water. Trash goes in the back pocket.

This picture represents roughly 150 holes, probably had another 25 trash targets not in the photo, these were just my finds from one beach "and we never got to the dry sand." Mike, my hunting parter, had just as much if not more?

27 quarters
32 dimes
5 nicks
61 pennies
4 rings...(should be 5 but somehow I lost one?)
and a few pieces of junk jewelry (arrow is small 10k ring with two tiny diamond chips)
But not one piece of silver?.....(Mike did find one silver ring in the sand at the volleyball court on our way to the water.)

It was a good day, just thought it was odd that we didn't pull more quality metal. I'd say better then half of the targets were pretty deep as well, even into the clay bottom under the 3 to 4 inches of sand. My hands are even a bit swollen and blistered this morning from pressing down on the scoop so much. I hate hard clay bottoms!

He charges too much, and he won't stay focused on the job. His usual all day fee includes:
Two boxes of pampers
Three teething rings
Four bottles of milk
He requires three naps a day
And, you just can't keep the women away from him, keeps them fooled all day long with that little smile and giggle of his. Actually gets them to volunteer to change his diapers. Basically, he's a clown and goof-off. :laughing7:

At least I can say Bigscoop didn't find it all. These finds were found hunting by his side and sometimes in his wake. Excallibur strikes again....note the better rings. Now I really need to order that new straight shaft and fix the big scoop I broke in Lake Michigan.
