Why is washington state being so strict on detecting laws?

I happily in my bubble island community where my Seattle friends say it’s a throwback to the 1950s.

I do commercial crabbing and metal detecting on my days off. It’s good!

Renton outlawed detecting not digging, my Florida county outlawed digging not detecting.
