I personally think that Metal Detecting guys are sexy,muscular ,athletic and all out gorgeous ! And most ofthem are really intelligent and funny ,traits which I highly admire in a man.
I never think of detector guys as nerdy wimps....because most of them are all outside,digging,researching walking in the woods,hiking up mountains....tough men ...and I like it.......I like it alot!..... :P

Re-Tek...love that reply! Said it to my wife and got hit. The hobby is what it is...it will attract all kinds of people and I really enjoy meeting them and talking with them. I have seen a few that scare me and I am glad I carry my religous medals with me.

I don't know about ALL the ladies on here but I think if we got together for a good time there would eventually be burping and pirate songs involved. I don't know about the hot-dog thing tho. I've never known a woman who would put one in her nose. And as for the description of men wearing black socks, I'm in the same boat. My husband wants to burn them!

Mabey there is a new breed of us out there. I personally am just getting into the Hobby, but my wife who I met long before I got into treasure hunting thinks that it is really exciting (So do her hot friends )
I do have some nerdy traits like:
I play in the band (For the U.S. Army)
I wear glasses (When I'm out of contacts. It's not my fault that I was born with not so great eyesight)
But I also am an avid Bow Hunter
I own "a few" firearms
I was a successful Towing and recovery Specialist (Tow truck driver)
Like I said before I'm in the Army.

Hmm. Oh well we know that sterotypes aren't accuate.

Well, guess I qualify for this position...I learned well from my male counterparts in the US Navy...they were great teachers of the above...however, I did miss GMT on the STUFFING THE HOT DOG UP THE NOSE! Must not been a great GMT session, I don't recall a make-up day on that subject

But I still like my CALGON Baths and dressing up...I'm just an ALL AMERICAN GIRL!!!
