Why would he lie about something like this? (more drama)

A friend of a friend (a local cop), told me about a year ago that he had two of his rottweilers stolen from his backyard. He said he found one that made her way home after a week and she was very thin. He told me that he suspects people stole his dogs to use in an illegal dog fights. That story took me for a loop because dogs have a special place in my heart.

I found out this last weekend that he lied about the whole thing. The human society took them because they were being neglected and had no food or water. The male died because they put him down (apparently he was too weak to even digest food - imagine that).

I find it simply disgusting that this guy lied about this. Perhaps he lied because of his own humiliation. This is absolutely very sad to me.

I don't mean to pick on PD, but I read something not too long ago where someone said, "Police need to be drafted. This is because people who sign up for it, are not the right people for the job".

I was looking out my window today at the neighbors dog, one of three. The oldest was not eating after the owner gave out the daily food. I felt so said for this animal. It was healthy, but was still sad.

Sorry if I upset anyone by this post. It just really tore me up learning this.

I think you are right on, didn't want anyone knowing that he was not taking care of the dogs. Dogs are like childern some people should not have either.
