Hope this goes through - first time posting a photo here and these are from my first and second times MDing, in and around my own backyard!
Biggest question is the cylinder. Looks like it has a cap at one end and feels like it has liquid inside. What is it?
Also curious about the star and the green (copper?) container. Has a very small hinge on one side.
Really thrilled at these early finds and excited to do a lot more searching! Just outside of Richmond, Va.

The cylinder is a CO2 cylinder used to power BB, pellet, airsoft guns, among other things.

Thank you! One down - 1 to go :)

Nailed it on the CO2 cartridge, thank you - all is now safe!

Any thoughts on the star? Looks decorative...what might it have been used on?

Less interest in the green thing unless it's intersting. It was in a location and depth of newer stuff, so I'm not seeing much historic potential.

I'm having some misgivings here but maybe the star was used on the side of an old brick building. All the ones I've ever seen though didn't have the circle or brace? thing's. Just a bolt running through center into brick. I still see those on old brick structures.

Don't think that what you have, also a bit smaller. Dunno.

The round green thing is probably a makeup compact that had a hinged lid.

Are you sure you don't want to whack it with a hammer?

I got a dozen or so in much better shape - they still have enough gas to power a BB gun.

Toss that rusty old thing. NG. For nuthin.

Kudos to your wife!

That's a nice spanner wrench you have in the collection of things you found.
