William's Cleaner zinc base and post....lead-free.First one....

It was supposed to be nothing but snow and freezing rain today.....Mother Nature took a wrong turn.I hit the same field I hit on Wed. and found a William's Cleaner base(zinc) with the post still attached.I've found them whole or the lead without the base but never just the post....Alway's wondered what they looked like without having to disect one,now I know.Added a Enfield to the collection too!....Threw my Wed. Cleaner in the pic for comparison.Thank's for looking.....HH!! Gotta appreciate the CW 8)

It's wierd Nick...I've got 3 farm's that saw action at Antietam and have never found a cleaner round.(That was the real McCoy I guess) This field I hunt outside of Harpers Ferry has yielded 6 to this date.I'll take it!!

Thank's Nana....I'm kinda partiall to "first find's" especially CW.As long as I can find them I'll post them.This is the same field I found my one and only LC too!!

Nice finds! I Like finding cleaners also. I got a pulled cleaner recently. That was cool! HH!

Very nice Cman! Seems like I should find those as well or something like them. Many soldiers camped around my area, probably why I find so many musket balls with the mold nipples still attached. HH, Mike

Cool deal Das...there's a couple up there I would love to hunt,right now I have two that border the Battlefield and one that back's up to them.Give me a shout,maybe we can hook-up in Sharpsburg one day.These piece's were found along with many other's in the Charles Town area.HH!!

I just found this post. Congrats on the cleaner.
I think you just answered my question. I just dug a mystery lead piece yesterday, and I think it may be a cleaner base like yours.
What do you think?
