Well I decided to go to a park I have been to a few times...been waiting for a day when less people would be in the park...today was the day a little rain, 40mph winds and cold.. :D So off I went...put fresh battery pack in and when I went up on top of the hill by a bench I knew I had found the right spot....started hitting nickels of all things...so I thought I will work my way down the hill on one of four sides...well I never finished one side...dug up 105 coins...close to 80 off one side of the hill and bench area on top of hill...The ring came up like a quarter but appears to be copper...looks like a roadrunner by a cactus tree... The winds got the best of me...and I had some more stuff to take care of at home...ended up staying an hour to long to start with... So I will hit this spot again...might bring some utility flags or cones if not to windy and grid this one out...no matter which direction I went there were coins...

Nice going man,you are really dedicated to making your quota. With so many coins popping up on that hill there is bound to be some older stuff down deeper, maybe after you hit your mark you can work that hill real slow and dig all the deeper stuff. I think you could go out and dig all 500 coins if you know the right spot. If you know where an old drive-in is you can work around the playground and if it hasnt been hunted Id say you could easy dig 500 coins in a day,HH...Shoot
p.s. if you dont know where an old drive-in is click here and find one http://www.drive-ins.com/dbdisrch.htm/status_op=closed

Thanks I was thinking of doing an all day hunt...but the longest I have done this year is 6 hours, one of the days I topped 200 coins. The only other time I tried for 200 I got there also. But 500 in a day...not sure I could listen to that many beeps! Usually after 2-4 hours I am done... Thanks for the tip! :)

Thanks everyone...will rest up now till Monday...everyone have a great weekend and if you get a chance go out and dig something! :)

Very nice haul, WTG!!!
It was very windy, and a little chilly, here in Indy yesterday too...
I sure hate to see this kind of weather coming so soon...
Continued Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Nice haul Gregg!!!

Always good to dig some battery money. I just toss my clad in a gallon glass jar until it's full.

Congrats on the roadrunner ring too!!!

my back hurts just thinking of all the coins you have dug this year, nice work ;D
