Found today about 6 inches down at a local park. Rang up in the penny range on the DFX. It is copper and slightly larger than a quarter.

Any ideas as to age? I could not find any info online. Yes EDDE, I checked my local paper. ;D ;D ;D

Thanks much,

Hal

I found the John F. Kennedy version.

I found three of those, the woodrow the jefferson and the third escapes me right now. ??? Never really found much out about them.

OK, the token I found is from the same set that you found. Mine is the James Buchanan token. On the reverse mine says "Old Buck" "Old Public Functionary" and lists his career achievments.

I remember in the 1950s a board game called the Presidents Game.
There was a board that you would advance by spinning an arrow. You were asked a question and if you gave a correct answer you received a bronze coin like the one you found.
The edition we had was up through President Eisenhower.
It was a great game where I learned campaign slogans like "Tippicanoe and Tyler too" for , I think, William Henry Harrison. Thats the kind of information you would find on the back side of the coins.
I am still looking for a mention of the game on the net.

I know this is an old thread, but I just found a Woodrow Wilson myself on the 4th. I believe they are circa 1948 Topps President Golden Coin Series. The coins were struck by The Osborne Register CO. for Topps. Along with the "gold" plated copper varieties there were also aluminum and later gold colored plastic. I think the aluminum and plastic are from the 50's. On a side note, I found it about three inches down in an area that I also found one of the 1933-1936 aluminum Cracker Jack Mystery Club Theodore Roosevelt coins,

I found a Calvin Coolidge token at a Boy Scout camp several years ago. Same format. Had to dig it out and compare after seeing these posts.

Woody Wilson token

I know it's a zombie thread, but I found one just like it today, 04/14/2016.

I've found a William Henry Harrison, a Lincoln and a Wilson. They must have made a lot of Wilsons!

Nice token but can't identify it.

I just found the exact same token. In he Blue Ridge of the Appalachians in Virginia. I've been dirt fishin for 48 years and have never found one of these. I don't believe it's a Shell coin. I've found several Shell and other types of Presidential tokens. This one rings like silver when dropped. I'm gonna metal test it. Happy Huntin.

Very nice find congratulations

Cool find !

I've also found few Shell and few Sunoco coins from that time period.
