Are two of those nails square? I'd say you have yourself at least one old homesite there, maybe more.

No, they are round. I think it might have been a bunkhouse or similar set up for the coal haulers. There's an old road lined with large rocks like the ones in the pics on the back side of this site headed away from the river down through a hollow. I didn't get to explore it but I WILL.
