whats your opinion on knowing how important it is to have a good understanding of the ground conditions overall say for a particular county your in to hunt.

or is this something you stay on top of with your machine while detecting

Hey Ricky Ranger...Here in California you can get all kinds of geology maps at the Mining and Geology Dept. They may have some other name in your State. They are helpful before you go to a new area....Art

Hey Rick. My MXT has automatic ground balancing, It worrks really well; especially in the prospecting mode.
