Some neighbors down the street from are renovating their 1770's stone farmhouse and I secured permission to look over the sight. Some wonderful finds, some large cents and this 1876 Seated Half Dollar, which was very exciting. I also found a copper or brass winder, and an incredibly battered, clipped, and thin King George penny. Most curious was the aluminum tank emblem. It doesn't seem particularly old to me, but am curious if anyone recognizes it. Not pictured is an 1801 Draped Bust they opted to keep on the first day out there.
The emblem looks to be a slightly skewed version of the Lee-Grant tank, early WWII era.
Killer hunt, any or all of those finds would have made my day!

Really good finds you have there! You should ask if you can take some nice pictures of the draped bust that they kept. I always tell homeowners that if I find something they lost, like a ring, I will gladly give it to them as long as I can get pictures. It's nice to have at least a pic in your collection, and then we get to see it as well lol!
