This was my second and last day on my new site. I hope I can get back soon to explore this virgin terrain. My opinion is that this site was abandoned before the Roman expansion. I have a lot of buzzy signals but I dig only the clear sounds. I'm planning to get back there soon and dig every single signal. I didn't have a spade with me and in some cases, after removing a little bit of soil I lost the signal. I'm not sure if they were small lead pieces or deep small coins.
Thanks mates for watching and thanks metal detector for existing :)

It looks like there's some gold on the bronze star. Not sure.

Since you have a much better chance of finding Macedonian treasures than I, here is one of my favorite designs of all, a Tetradrachm of Demetrios I Poliorketes.

I wish you the best luck and fortune and hope you discover a pot full of them the next time you hunt this special site!

Awesome, more great discoveries! :occasion14:

It seems that the coin in image 2, based on the monogram below the horseman is an Antigonos II Gonatas bronze. Pictures of the reverse of the other coins you have the obverse image of would be great (plus more of any with details)!

I agree with you Plumbata. I dont have the coins with me because i left home and im in Italy right now(otherwise i would be there still digging :)
Most of my coins has the head of young Hercules right, clad in lion's skin headdress. So i think both of them and others are coins of Antigones.

Till now I have already found two pots full of silver Drachms. They were mixed, Roman, Macedonian and Greek. I hope i find also your prefered Tetradrachm.
I almost forgot to say that i have found the pots in a dream :)))))
Thanks for wishing me luck but it is not on my side. :)

Wow! Great looking mitt full of find.
No digging tools, looks like it wasn't an issue. Congrats for your hunt, the gold wash star looks interesting.

I hade just a small pickaxe. Ive been digging always in hard terrain where the coins were not deep. The soil on this site was very sandy and digging with the pickaxe was like drilling a hole in the water. I had also a back pain and thats why i dag only the clear sounds. I dont know when but soon i will get back there.

Thats something you can call a fistful coins... Congrats, well done!
What i can tell you from experience, if the Deus got a signal there is something under the coil, even when the signal is gone after the first cut with the spade. (Or pickaxe in your case.) Usually further down.
