✅ SOLVED Wrench?

I found this thing the other day and I am guessing it is a wrench but not sure of it's use or age.

Looks like an old wagon wrench. The handle could also be used as a hitch pin.

Cool looking wrench FF1. Was this found in an area where CW relics were found? Looks like it's pretty old. I wonder if this could have been a wagon wrench as suggested, or if it could have been some sort of artillery wrench.

Seems a little short for that - I would expect a hydrant wrench to be much longer for better leverage on stuck hydrant fittings.

My first thought was a handle for a hydraulic lift (as you might see at a car-repair center).
But, can't put my finger on why I think that... So, I could be totally wrong.
Either way, it's a special-purpose tool for something.

I worked for the fire department for 30 years and I never saw a hydrant wrench like this.

I haven't cleaned this item yet but around 1/2 -5/8" is about right.

Other civil war items have been found here but have been limited to buttons, so far. The site dates from the early 1800s to around 1900.

I think it's an antique specialty wrench. A wrench that would have came with the tractor, car , truck or equipment as part of the tool kit..
I can't find the exact one but see plenty similar on google images.

Hopefully you can get this piece ID'd soon. It is a cool looking tool. And old.

Like a "spud" wrench.

It sure could be a speciality wrench. Looks a lot like a steel workers wrench but a lot of them were 3/4”...

I cleaned some of the crud off the wrench and it is threaded on the end. The threads are barely visible in the picture but they are there. Both holes are 3/4". So, it being a clevis wrench what time period would it fall into?
