WW2 expert rifleman's badge + other stuff...
hey everyone,
didn't post my stuff the past week or so because i really didn't have the time and i didn't come up with anything that was too great. had a slow but good weekend with Jer. we went to an old spot where we found 50+Indians, v-nickels, Buffalo's, barbers, shield nickels, and various coins in that era. we both ended up pulling a Indian each both 1907's they were found in the same area. found a few other little things but we hunted this place to death.
the next day we decided to go to this spot where there are at least 20 foundations from the 1870's era and decided to work the woods behind them. we come to figure out the structures were glass factories because there was a ton of glass and it just didn't seem like houses. as soon as we got there i dug my first hole and found the beautiful medal from an expert rifleman. other than that it was very tuff hunting with about a billion overloads and a ton of garbage. on other thing i found at this site that i thought was odd was a button the size of a Morgan dollar (the blueish green disc). its just a newer type one with the two little holes in it.
don't know if ill have a chance to get any hunting in this weekend because i have my first baseball practice on Saturday and prolly wont make it to Jers to get any hunting in. maybe ill hit a local spot...
if anyone has any info on the medal it would be greatly appreciated because all i know is that it is from WW2 and that it is a rifleman's medal. i don't know of any value and there are no markings on the medal at all...
take care everyone...
