Still doing research, but I still have my Micronta (Radio Shack) 3000 from the late 1970s!

My family and I recently visited the Portland Science Center to view National Geographic's exhibition of the Whydah (I see that I misspelled the ship's name in the thread title). It is an extremely interesting exhibition, and contains some amazing historical artifacts. Here are pictures of some of the coins that were recovered from the shipwreck.

Very interesting. Thanks wormwood.

Isn't there a Whydah museum up there somewhere?

There are only a few artifacts and cobs from the Whydah in private hands.
There is always a feeding frenzy of bidding when a Whydah piece shows up in a Sedwick auction.

Yes, on Cape Cod (in Yarmouth, Mass.) not too far from where they located the wreck. What was at Portland is their traveling exhibit.
