X-Terra

I have an XT-70 that I just started using and I love the seperation and tones in all metal. That fact, plus it being lightweight makes it a better choice for open field hunting than my MXT. However, because Minelab won't make a big coil for it, I'm hanging onto my MXT for truly deep searching (caches, etc.).

I own a nice Xterra 50. I was thinking the xterra 70, but im never at the beach and places for prospecting, so there was no point.

I'm just like you Bobby, the same reason why I have the 50 and not the 70. The 50 with the 6" DD HF coil is a coin/jewelry killer, stays on my XT50 95% of the time.....John

I have the 70. Sold my 2500 Garrett for it. I really like the 70 but I miss the visual coin size the 2500 had. I do dig more with the 70 and therefore find more but when you are doing a quick hunt or you don't want to dig nothin but coins then it sure was nice.
The 70 is also MUCH lighter and it goes as deep and I think even deeper then the 2500.
I don't regret the trade off and would do it again, but the 2500 is a heavy but nice machine.
Oh one mote thing, I never could figure out tracking and ground balance nor sensitivity until I got the 70.

I have the 70 and love it. It's great!

x50 and love it, take it to the beach too.

Xterra 70. I love the light weight. I use it with the 6x9 gold coil. I also have a modded SD2000 Gold Machine. I use the X70 for initial searches of potential gold sites, because it's so light and easy to pack. When I find some good shallow stuff, I bring in the SD with 18" Coil for the deep stuff.

I have the X-Terra 50 and it goes wherever I go. It's one very impressive machine :headbang:. No need for the 70 as all those extra features are not needed in my general area.

another Great Feature that I love it is light weight and brakes up nicely and fits into a regular hiking backpack , basically parking my vehicle and No questons asked .... nice sweet and discreet ,ahhh I'm just going for a hike

XT-70 and Im in the Learning curve!

I love my X-terra 70...... the sensitivity and depth of this machine is amazing! :icon_thumright:

I use the X-70 all the time and love it. I have found more gold with it than my Xlt, but that doesn't mean the Xlt isn't great either both machines are great learner machines.
