Hey Everyone,

I was finally able to get out today to do a little hunting. Ashlie wanted me to go to Charlotte for the MDAC Hunt but because of the rainy weather, I decided to keep it local and hunt a park.

I recovered a couple of clad cents and a dime. I walked over to the swing set and began to scan around the swings. I got a steady, low sounding signal. It VDI'd at +5-+8. What I found was my first ever gold with the XLT. It's probably the smallest ring I have ever seen.

I got it home and got it cleaned up and was able to find the makers' mark. "10K" and "AAJ". Not sure what the AAJ is?

It also has a stone in it. Not sure if it's a small diamond or what.

Ian

Congrats on your first gold! That XLT is a nice machine, found about 15 gold items including a gold coin, hundreds of silver coins and countless relics with my XLT. I'm in Germany by the way and typically hunt farm fields but will detect anywhere I can, LOL. HH, Mike

Nice little ring there! That's why you almost have to dig everything; you never know. Congrats.

a great find .The xlt is a brilliant machine but only as good as the user.

Nice! I dug a wee little 10K just yesterday..it was 3/4" in diameter.

HH,
Nat

Congratulations.....May that be your first ring of many.

WTG on the gold there, teacher. Rings, in and of themselves, are great to find, and gold to boot.
