I got out today to places I've previously detected with the equinox. My find of the day was a pipe bowl cover. The homestead I found it at was 1860's. I left this with the equinox thinking it was trash. It was close to the homesteads trash pile. With pieces of lead lined tin laying all about. The XY screen gave a great indication it wasn't trash. I was running the general program mostly. Running Mono I found this cast iron stove door. I also found 2 pocket knives and some zincolns on a trashy lot in Carson.

Hope you don’t take offense. Put the remote in your pocket. You found the same item with both. You walked because your relying on segregation. If you want to pick and choose that’s fine too. However if your looking for Old. Your cheating your self being reliant on marketing pitches. Everything you want to dig has a mimic and no detector is going to beat your own ears and the willingness to dig it up.

No offense. When I get blaring shallow signals they tend to be trash. I try avoiding digging tin. This signal with the Deus was smoother to the ears than the tin that was by it. I mistook it for tin with the equinox. The XY screen also helped with identification. It's an added tool that helps. Constantly digging tin was why I put the Deus 1 in the closet and primarily swung the equinox. The Deus 2 now has the edge on the equinox for helping me discern between good and bad targets.
