Wonderful, unusually warm February day in central Virginia, so I packed up my Tejon before church. Took off after and had 2 1/2 hours on my first hunt of 2014. Sure hope the rest of the year produces like today. Several buttons and more partials. A dozen bullets including two Richmond Lab Sharpes (#s 2 & 3 for this site).

Thanks everybody. That spot has produced for the poachers HEAVY for years. Since I actually have PERMISSION, I can hunt the spots that were too "exposed" for poachers. That's what I'm doing here. Found these on the edge of the landowner's yard. The woods have been sucked clean. But oh, wouldn't I love to swing a coil over that pristine 3/4 acre yard!!! Good to hear from another Tejon man, Davers. I agree with what you wrote. But I'll tell you what's fooling me . . . Bucks (as in "Buck 'n' ball) sound exactly like cuff buttons to me. I CANNOT tell the difference. And this place is LOADED with bucks, since it's an "early war" spot. IFOUNDIT - I live in the Northern Neck - near Montross. "The land between the Rivers!"
